Six specialists of the Kamensk Uralsky Metallurgical Works J.S.Co. (KUMZ OJSC) took part in the VII International Youth Scientific and Practical Conference "Magnitogorsk Rolling Practice 2023", which took place on May 30 - June 2 at the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University. They presented 5 reports at the youth forum. The report of Yulia Zamaraeva, head of the department of STC KUMZ, ("Unevenness of deformation in the process of pressing a bimetallic rod", co-authors - Y.N. Loginov (UrFU), A.V. Razinkin (KUMZ) was awarded a Diploma for winning the competition of reports in the nomination "The best modeling of the processes of mechanical engineering".

The conference "Magnitogorsk Rolling Practice" is considered one of the leading conferences in the Urals in terms of revealing and promoting the topic of metal forming. Nosov MSTU specializes in research in rolling technologies, has good laboratories for studying the processes of deformation and heat treatment, metal science, traditionally holds very interesting thematic conferences, forms active creative communication between young scientists, and closely cooperates with leading research centers.

Kamensk Uralsky Metallurgical Works J.S.Co. is the largest Russian diversified enterprise producing semi-finished products based on aluminum alloys, focused on the needs of high-tech sectors of the economy. In Russia, the plant is the only supplier of a wide range of products for aerospace customers. The plant positions itself as an innovative company in the field of improving the production, technical and technological base for the production of new innovative products.

Within the framework of the conference, representatives of KUMZ visited the laboratory "Zhilyaev Mechanics of Gradient Nanomaterials", where they held negotiations on issues of joint work with OJSC "KUMZ".

The conference participants visited MMK PJSC, MMK-Metiz OJSC, where they got acquainted with the main production and best practices implemented at the enterprises.

Yulia Zamaraeva, the winner of the presentation competition "The Best Modeling of OMD Processes", combines the work of the head of the department of the STC KUMZ with scientific work at the Institute of Metal Physics of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Yekaterinburg). and process the results, prepare scientific publications. He has rich experience in modeling, knows how to correctly set tasks - in the areas of pressing, stamping, heat treatment, rolling, analyze existing problems and propose ways to solve them. Yuliya Valentinovna - candidate of technical sciences, defended her dissertation on the topic of deformation of magnesium alloys.
