The conference was held from May 30 to June 3, 2023 at the Nosov Magnitogorsk State Technical University and was devoted to fundamental and applied issues of pressure treatment of metals and alloys. The youth conference included plenary lectures by famous scientists, reports by young scientists in thematic sections, as well as an excursion to the laboratory “Zhilyaev Mechanics of Gradient Nanomaterials” and an industrial tour to industrial enterprises of the city of PJSC “Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works” and OJSC “MMK-METIZ”. The conference was attended by young scientists from 23 universities, research institutes, industrial enterprises and innovative firms in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.

From LSTU, the conference was attended by the head of the department of mechanical engineering, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor I.P. Mazur, teacher A.G. Levykina, 4th year student A.S. Kun and 3rd year students N.P. Ivannikov D.V. Kubaichuk.

In the section “Fundamental problems of metal forming in the context of modern needs of the world industry”, students Alexander Kun made a presentation “Creating a model for controlling the bending of the front end of the rolled stock in the DEFORM program” and Nikolai Ivannikov “Production of two-phase steels in a hot rolling mill using innovative methods of accelerated cooling ".

In the thematic section "Cross-disciplinary solutions of modern engineering of materials (iSmart-MetalForming)" Anna Levykina made a presentation on the improvement of hot rolling technology based on the analysis of the thermal state of the metal using physical and computer modeling methods, and Danil Kubaychuk presented his work on the topic "Modeling of an asymmetric process rolling.

Anna Levykina was awarded a 1st degree diploma for winning the presentation competition. Conference participants received certificates.
